• How long should I plan to stay at the gallery?

  Visits to the gallery are on average one hour. However, this can be adjusted to accommodate your schedule, and you can decide upon the duration of your stay at the gallery. There are also special exhibits available, so we recommend scheduling extra time at the museum so that all of the exhibits can be enjoyed in a leisurely manner. If you plan to visit the gallery using public transportation, we recommend you schedule your visiting time in accordance with the train or bus timetables.

• Are guided tours of the gallery available?

  If you would like to hear a brief explanation of the gallery before viewing the artwork or would like to participate in a guided tour in English, please fill out the online contact form or give us a call (phone calls in Japanese only) at least two weeks prior to your visit.

• It is possible to eat/drink at the gallery?

  Eating and drinking are not permitted inside Maruki Gallery. However, you are welcome to eat and drink at the Nogi Pavilion and Hakkai Hall. If you would like to do so, please let us know in advance by filling out the online contact form. Please note that there are no restaurants or shops in or around the Maruki Gallery.

• How can I sign up for a Group Visit?

  Maruki Gallery welcomes group visits from schools and other organizations.

  Please fill out the online contact form or make a reservation by phone at least two weeks prior to your visit.

  Phone services are only available in Japanese / during opening hours at +81 (0)493-22-3266.

   

  We need the following information to make a reservation

  • Proposed date and time of visit, and the number of people in your group
  • Name of organization, and the name and phone number of your group representative
  • If you would like a brief explanation/guided tour (Yes/No)
  • If you need access to bus parking space (Yes/No) (If yes, please include the type of vehicle, number of vehicles you plan to visit the gallery in)
  • The objective of your visit to Maruki Gallery
  • Any requests upon visiting the gallery (if any)
