Launching a project to create virtual tours to share the Hiroshima Panels

First of all, we would like to thank you for all your support during this challenging time. The unprecedented closure of the Gallery was such a difficult period, yet it was also an experience to reacknowledge the support we have. We received so many messages and more emergency funds than we ever imagined from friends all over Japan and the world. Thank you so much for your collaboration!

Now we are launching our first global fundraising campaign, to “Create Virtual Tours to Share the Hiroshima Panels.” Since April 2020, physical visits to the Gallery have become difficult due to the spread of COVID-19, and we are seeking a way to share the unique works it holds.

This project will not only preserve the Gallery for peace education, it will also enable new demographics from around the world to be immersed in the works of the Marukis and be inspired by their universal message.

The fundraising campaign will take place online via GlobalGiving between June 8 – 26 E.T. We hope for this to be the first stage to more international support which can contribute to the long-term preservation of these important artworks.

You can visit the project page to learn more details and sign up to receive updates about this project. Also please mark your calendar and support us by sharing this project with your friends and family!

Thank you very much for your continued involvement and support!
