Notice of Extended Closure for Renovation

The Maruki Gallery will close for an extended period starting September 28, 2025, to undertake comprehensive renovations of the entire gallery building. We plan to reopen around May 5, 2027, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the gallery’s opening.

During the closure, we will continue to exhibit the Hiroshima Panels and other works of the Marukis in Japan and abroad, as well as loaning reproduction panels and giving lectures in other venues. We will also continue our efforts to restore the Hiroshima Panels during the closure.

To keep you informed about the progress of the renovation project and to reflect on the history of the Maruki Gallery and the Marukis, we have launched a special Instagram account: Maruki Gallery’s Preservation Project of the Hiroshima Panels.” Although the posts will be in Japanese, we hope you will follow us to view updates and images of this important project.

To restore and preserve the Hiroshima Panels, we will continue with the Preservation Fund for the Hiroshima Panels. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
